China Journeys // Feature Foods

I love photography but if I could choose another dream job to pair with it, it would be having Anthony Bourdain's job traveling the world and tasting the foods of all countries, kitchens, and streets. The students in China said that these noodles were a feature food and that we must have some. So we did, and we had an awesome time tasting and dining together.

michoacana

There's a little street in Ft. Wayne that we love. It has our two favorites, a used bookstore and a very good Mexcian restaurant called Michoacana. We love Mexican food! Perhaps we can eat it every day for the rest of our lives!

It has been hard to find an authentic tasting place in this part of the country. We've been spoiled with growing up in Phoenix surrounded by this food splendor. We have found a place in Holland, MI that has amazing rice+ beans and tamales but going there every time we wanted a Mexican food fix would be pretty expensive. We have entertained the idea but who would do such a thing? We just make sure we do make a visit every time we're in the neighborhood.

What we love about Michoacana is their tacos al carbon. We have a food crush here. Every flavor is distinct and perfect. The corn tortillas are just the right fluff and that squeeze of lime over the top right before you take a bite is icing on the cake! This is a discovery that is mmmmm-mmmm good down to the last drop!

Afterwards we stopped at the Mexican bakery for dessert. We've given our bellies a fine feast!
