little and big splashes of color

This was our fourth trip to nyc. We flew the first time but have driven the rest. Road trips are always a great way to bond. We talk about our plans for the trip, the places we'd like to see and things we'd like to do. We laugh and joke around. We talk about serious issues as well. How can we not with a philospher in the family!

We listen to music. Each person gets to pick their favorite CD to listen to, that way we don't have to listen to the same artist over and over again. This is what the kids would do if they were the dj. My pick was Michael Jacksons number ones. Julian's picks would be k-os or Keane. Angel would choose One Republic, Owl City (not surprising) or Mumford and Sons. David likes talk radio. We are going to a U2 and Matisyahu concert this spring so we did play a few of their albums.  We sometimes check the radio to get more variety. We all jump with excitement if Adele's rolling in the deep comes on! She's amazing!
