the rileys

We went from one lovely family to another on this trip. After visiting with family in the city we headed to see our friends, the Riley's. They have two boys, Aidan and Liam, and a girl, Nora. I must say they are some of the cutest kids on the planet!

We love visiting the Rileys. They have such a precious family. Their children are a joy to be around. Aidan and Liam love books and I had a chance to read a few to the them before bedtime. Liam likes to chat, he was telling me all about spring and his toys at breakfast one morning. He's got a lot to say! You can't help but smile when he talks to you with his cute little voice! Aidan played a song on the piano for me and sang to us one evening. His singing is very good. There are many artistic qualities about him. He made all sorts of things with Wikki Stix, something that's new to me and actually a very fun product to play with. Nora is such a doll. She had to warm up to us but finally was ok for me to hold her in the end.

Aidan, making a fish pond out of Wikki Stix.

The Rileys live in very beautiful part of our country. There's cuteness all around them. I wish I had captured more of that in this trip. Everything here is cute, the post office, the churches and the houses. I mean everything here looks like it could be in a storybook. I love to walk around this place with all its charm. Here is Aidan peeping into a shop window.

These boys love to play games. I played life and Toy Story yahtzee with them. They are pretty good at yahtzee. I was so impressed by how well they could explain the game to me. This game is quite addicting especially when you are playing with two cuties! Aidan on the left and Liam on the right.

One day we went out to a nearby pond.  Aidan and Liam were telling me how they like to go fishing there. I helped them find a stick for a fishing rod. Then they attached a piece of string on one end and dropped them into the water to get on with their fishing adventures! Aidan caught trout and a clown fish (just make believe). They even showed me a little secret passage through the woods to get to there fishing spot. What fun imaginations these kids have!

Here is Liam trying to catch something!

We spotted turtles and swans! They got super close! What beautiful creatures. The boys really wanted to take that turtle home.

Thank you Sean, Emily, Aidan, Liam and Nora for your hospitality. We love you!
