DC

DC was way ahead of us in the spring department. It was so hot we weren't even prepared for it. We didn't pack any summer clothes.  This was first time I broke a sweat in months and I wasn't complaining. I was thrilled. Flowers and trees were budding all over the place.

My Beautiful people!

I love the business of this place. It feels more crowded here than in NY.

WWII memorial.

Do you really want to know the story behind this picture?

We like to create games wherever we go, I'd also call them little compitions. This is how we sometimes entertain ourselves. We've actually done this with friends with a domino survivor game. It's quite funny.

So this was a little game we made up on our last trip to DC. You see those huge columns around the Lincoln Memorial? The goal is to get around it without falling off the ledge. At the bottom there is just enough ledge to walk around it but you have to hold on to the massive colum or else you will fall. The ledge is that narrow. You can kind of see it near Angel's legs. This is actually a bit like tight rope walking except you have something bigger than a balance bar to hold onto or maybe more like your trying to cross from one window to the next on a high rise building. So of course David gets around or across to the other side and I couldn't because I had too much baggage (big purse and camera). And I was more scared this time around. That's why the muscle flex. He wins! :)

The only art I saw in DC. Lichtenstein is one of my favorite pop artists.

Julian chose to go to the Air and Space Museum!

  1. Haha. I know who those friends are that invented the domino survivor game with you. :) Have you played it with anyone else?
