-the sun on my skin and the grass between my toes!
-The fact that we get a whole summer break to travel and enjoy family. I am so glad my husband is a professor for this reason!
-Soon we will be off on a camping adventure! It will our first time as a family. David has been when he was a young lad but it's been so long. He is actually complaining about the shower situation. I thought I'd be the one freaking out about that, I guess it's because it's my first time and I have no idea! (I've actually skipped showers lately since being a college student, so I feel somewhat ok)
-working out weekly as a family. We head to the gym for racquetball, running, jump roping and shooting hoops.
-We planted a few herbs and started a small pot garden on our porch. I am hoping to expand it with time. (we had a huge storm last night so I think my cilantro is ruined) The tornado sirens went off too!
-Trying out new recipes. One child of mine has turned vegetarian. She will eat meat on Sundays so it's not a strict diet. I have been getting some recipes from this book that I checked out from the library.
-Discovering new artists through blogs! I love Wolfgang Bloch! Seriously, check out his online gallery!
Greatly loving this summer routine!
I'm curious about this artist. I checked out his gallery link and got to see a bit of his work. Does he create shorelines? Is he fascinated with soil? Or does he fancy the beach? This is intriguing.
ReplyDeleteI think it said on his bio that he was into surfing and he likes the ocean scene. I loved his mixed media pieces and how he adds the wood to those oceanic colors.
