carol's corner
There's this cute little joint in South Whitley called Carol's Corner. They serve burgers, fries and shakes. Real American right? It's not an eat-in place so it's closed in the winter. It's been on our to-eat list for awhile now. Eating there brought back memories of some of our favorite burger places back in Waco. There was Health Camp, Double R (which I think was the best); they had fries like the ones here--irrisistable! There were a few others that were pretty good too like Captain Whizbangs and Kitoks.
Although these Waco joints had mouth watering burgers, Carol's Corner has a fun atmosphere; we sat on benches outside listening to oldies like Johnny Angel, Walk the Line, and some Beach Boys songs. I am the only one in my family who digs this kind of tune so I was enoying myself. Then David said "I only dig this music when I am eating a burger and fries." A perfect line to say about such a place!
If you head to this place make sure you have cash on hand because they don't take plastic.
