selfless acts

from a section of my paper:

we grew more and more attached to the girls as they continued to show us love and affection.
they grabbed our hands and held on tight. they taught us a bit of Tamil, their language.
they hugged us as soon as we got off the van to greet us.
they waved us off as we went home for the night.
they sat in our laps and played with our hair.
they danced and sang with us.
they showed us their ways of playing and having a good time.
they couldn't have been more hospitable to us.
i miss the company of these girls so much.
they had a gentle spirit about them and took to caring to my needs instead of their own.
they had often worried that i had not eaten or had my daily tea.
these girls who have no parents and not even a bed to sleep on, just the concrete floor,
worried about my well being.
they had a strong sense of selflessness. i definitely noted these selfless actions
and it taught me that i want to be more like them.
