Deciding on what to sing first!
Matisyahu live! We drove 3 hours up to MI to see him. The show started at 9pm and ended just a bit after midnight so you can imagine the hour we got home! My gracious husband drove us there and back and still made it to his 9am class. What a trooper!
Matisyahu has a voice like no other. He has this ability to make all kinds of cool beats with his mouth. He is a natural at beat boxin. Although we had been anticipating an upbeat concert we got an acoustic version of his songs so there was no standing, moving or jumping around. It was a sit down and relax sort of thing. We were a bit thrown off but still had a good time. I will take the acoustic version of songs anyday.
One of the things I like about going to concerts is that you are introduced to new artists. Here we met Shara Worden from My Brightest Diamond. We fell in love with her the second she opened her mouth. She not only sings beautifully but also tells stories beautifully! I am very happy that she was the opener for Matisyahu!
Along with Matisyahu came another amazing artist named Trevor Hall who sang a few of his wonderful poetical songs. He sang a song called LimeTree that is sweeet!
Good memories. Good times.
