Down by the creek at Aquinas College:
"Mom dad, can we put our feet in the water?"
After a "yes" shoes come off and before you know it they are off in their own little world. Just being a kid. No thoughts or worries about homework, chores or the troubles of present days. Just pure joy and exhilaration. David and I even joined in and we too felt like all worries were left behind. Usually I freak out when the kids get all muddy. I am starting to see that it is ok to let things go sometimes and not be so uptight about having everything super clean. There are more important things in life to focus on. I recommend that everyone go out and find a creek to play in for a day.
