Driving in Michigan

We are people who love to explore and go on a drive just out of the blue. We did that today and found ourselves in Detroit. We have been wanting to go there for sometime and here we were exploring the place. I was very shocked by this city because I imagined it to be a cool place with some exciting features. As we drove deeper into the center of the city David, the kids and I started to feel more and more disappointed. There were so many empty and falling apart buildings. There was trash all over the place. So many businesses were shut down and the place felt like a huge ghost town. It gave me a weird, eerie feeling. I took some pictures but they don't even come close to the real stuff we saw. One cool thing we did find was a riverwalk right on Lake Huron. You could see Canada on the other side.

Graffiti on everything

Abandoned businesses

We found an Obama gas station! That was very different.

Every other house seemed to look somewhat like this. This one was actually pretty bad.
